Happy Friday lovely readers! This weekend I am running a half marathon and I have to admit I am a bit nervous. Last year when I ran this race I was on track to meet my goal of sub-2 hours when I hit the turnaround point. Around mile 7 my knee and foot started to bother me. By mile 8 I was walking and had to walk the remaining 5.1 miles to the finish line. I didn’t run again for 6 weeks after that race. This year I know that I am physically ready, but mentally the race is bothering me. It also doesn’t help that it is supposed to be 23°F, snowing and 15 MPH winds, not ideal running conditions! Anways, onto happier things, like this week’s AWESOME recipe submissions.
